This is a practical, experiential course for all educators who want to explore and apply instructional strategies to teach students to be better thinkers. Embedded within the course are five research-based themes to promote student achievement: Learning to think skillfully; thinking to learn (using models for thoughtful questioning); thinking together cooperatively; thinking about one’s thinking (metacognition and reflection); and thinking big by applying thinking skills and processes to authentic problems.
