This Hebrew conversational course will provide students with the ability to conduct every day conversations while traveling in Israel. Students will learn to converse in situations such as: asking for directions, reserving rooms at the hotel, ordering food at a restaurant, shopping, bargaining and much more... Through this course students will “travel” the land, learn about the different sites, the people of the land and culture. Students will also read current events articles. We will use the Israeli newspaper, Yanshoof, a special newspaper geared for new immigrants. A website will provide students with the ability to log on at any time or place to review and improve your conversational skills. All vocabulary and conversations will be recorded and will be available via smart phone application. Students will meet once a week for a live webinar on Tuesday evenings, 6:00pm EST. If possible, make up sessions will be at 9:00pm on Sept. 18, Oct. 2, and Oct. 9. On Sept. 23, class is scheduled for 4:30pm. (This course provides 3 undergraduate credits).
