Based on the current writing and research in the field of classroom climate, participants will examine a three-dimensional model for understanding why a student may act irresponsibly in the classroom and what to do about it. Teachers will develop an approach that focuses first on students’ internal dialogue to help them resolve their inner conflicts, as well as strategies for improving responsibility in the learning community so students become more responsible and self-disciplined.
