Rapidly Improving schools almost always cite data driven instruction as the most important practices contributing to student success.  Teacher Action Research is one such example of a data driven approach that isolates change to a specific environment.  During this course, teachers will not only implement a teacher action research study but collect and analyze the data.  This data analysis is important but only becomes meaningful for teachers when combined with effective action leading to change in the classroom or school environment. This independent study course is open only to students matriculated in the MAEd, with permission of the academic advisor. Prerequisite 45196
