Based on the theme, “Writing to Learn and Learning to Write,” participants will learn how to effectively integrate cooperative learning with the teaching of writing as a thinking skill in all subject areas. This course offers a systematic, developmental approach to the teaching of writing in support of thematic, interdisciplinary, or subject specific instruction. Teachers will learn specific strategies to improve student writing on everyday assignments as well as standardized tests.
