This one-week seminar will be co-taught by Gratz faculty along with Professor Paul Mendes-Flohr of the University of Chicago. The instructors will bring a variety of perspectives, both academic and personal, to bear on what it means to live in a world in which the question "What is a Jew?" has received such a wealth of responses. The course will include a guided tour of the recently opened National Museum of American Jewish History.
