Jewish Early Childhood Education

P5120101Students in the Gratz Online Certificate Program in Jewish Early Childhood Education are interested in becoming more advanced in their understanding of young children and how to facilitate their growth in a Jewish environment. The program focuses on Jewish content and philosophy, how these coordinate with learner-centered educational methods for teaching young children, and how educators can become researchers in trying out new ways of communicating Judaism to children and families. One aim is to facilitate adults’ understanding of how to create and support dynamic, responsive Judaic experiences for children and their parents. Most students in the program are either directors or teachers, although rabbis and central agency consultants are also enrolled.

The Gratz Online Certificate in Jewish Early Childhood Education consists of six courses: three in Jewish early childhood education and 3 in Jewish studies. Click here for program requirements.
