Hey! My name is Amanda Ross and I am in the dual Masters program for Jewish Education and Jewish Communal Service. I was raised in Cherry Hill and went to Rutgers University for my undergraduate degree. I work at a Conservative synagogue teaching sixth grade Hebrew school, am the Kadima youth group advisor, and the Hebrew High coordinator. I am mostly interested in informal Jewish education and hope to work in that field when I graduate in May of 2011.  Being on the student governing board at Gratz has been an awesome experience--I've met some wonderful people and am really trying to bring a sense of community to the campus with my fellow board members. My name is Michael Cabot, and I am very excited to be part of the Student Governing Board this year!  Originally from Atlanta, I have been part of several Jewish communities on campuses including Hobart College, Case Western, and now Gratz College. I have a Master’s in Social Work, but my passion is doing work in Informal Jewish Education, especially Jewish camping. Here at Gratz, I am pursuing a degree in Jewish Education and Jewish Communal Service. Currently I am an intern for Drexel Hillel and am one of the advisors for Stevenson AZA in Northeast Philadelphia. Outside of school and Jewish life, I love to ski, scuba dive, do black & white photography and sail. I live in Center City Philadelphia, but also spend many weekends in Margate, NJ and the Chesapeake Bay. michaelcabot1@aol.com
