Deborah Nagler is a Jewish educational leader whose career has spanned more than three decades. Beginning as a classroom teacher and youth leader, Nagler completed a Masters in Jewish Education at the Jewish Theological Seminary. She has held positions as an educational director, day school principal, central agency director and the national director of Leadership Education and Training for Hadassah, WZOA. Since 1979, she has trained hundreds of Jewish teachers and institutional leaders in the United States, Canada and Israel. In 2001, the Jewish Theological Seminary recognized Nagler’s contributions to Jewish education with an honorary doctorate in pedagogy.
Nagler’s interest in the use of technology in education blossomed five years ago, when she researched and developed an online education program for Hadassah.
This experience inspired her to further explore instructional design and complete a graduate degree in Education Media Design and Technology. She currently serves as an educational technology consultant for Jewish schools, organizations and educators.
