Miriam Feinberg served as director of the Early Childhood Department of the Board of Jewish Education of Greater Washington, DC and instructor in the Washington, DC College of Jewish Studies from 1978 until 2001. Since her retirement from those positions, she writes a Jewish holiday newsletter series for families with young children called Celebrate In Your Home, she is an online instructor of graduate and undergraduate students in the Department of Education at Gratz College, located in Philadelphia, and she is an educational consultant to schools in the US and other countries. She has served as an educational consultant to schools in Thailand, Vietnam, India and Sri Lanka since 1993, under the auspices of Save the Children and Unicef.
She has published curriculum books for teachers, storybooks for children and numerous articles on teacher and parent education. She received her B.A. in Early Childhood Education and English Literature from Hunter College, her MA in Jewish Studies from the Baltimore Hebrew College and her Ph.D. in Early Childhood Education from the University of Maryland.
She is married and has three children and five grandchildren.
