Tamara Cohen is a Jewish educator who works with students of various ages and backgrounds. Currently, she is an adjunct instructor in the online program at Gratz College and in the Early Childhood Department at Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College in Asheville, NC. She serves as the Judaic Specialist for the Asheville Jewish Community Center, working with teachers and students in the early childhood, after-school and camp programs. Tamara also coordinates teen religious education programs in the Asheville area through Congregation Beth Israel. She has a Master of Education in Reading and Pre-K Primary Education from Union Institute and University, a Bachelor of Arts in Education with a major in Child Development and Family Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Certificate in Jewish Education from Gratz College. In 2008, Tamara relocated from sunny South Florida to hip and happening Asheville, North Carolina where she now lives with her husband and two children.
