Mitzvah Mentsches is a program in which teens (13 - 21 years old) with special needs gather one Sunday morning per month to share a meal and do social service activities in a Jewish environment on the Mandell Education Campus. Teens will work together to prepare food for the group and to think about ways that they can help to serve others. Teens are encouraged to take part in planning these sessions and special attention is given to creating positive social interactions and developing friendships between the teens.'
We are currently identifying prospective participants and additional funding. We hope to formally launch Mitzvah Mentsches in February.
