Schreiber Jewish Music Library
The Schreiber Jewish Music Library is one of the most extensive collections of its kind in the world. Centered around the Eric Mandell Collection, it includes more than 20,000 books, scores, records, tapes, and compact discs. It encompasses holdings in Jewish liturgy, Yiddish Theater, Ashkenazic hazzanut, Sephardic chants and popular music from America, Europe, and Israel.
The Kutler Jewish Instrumental Library features compositions by Jewish composers or on Jewish themes for solo and ensemble instruments.
The Schreiber Jewish Music Library is housed in the Weiss Music Library Center and includes two fully equipped, private listening rooms. Students pursuing the College's Master of Arts in Jewish Music will find materials to enhance their academic studies, cantors seeking liturgical selections will find materials for their congregational prayers, and music lovers of all ages are welcome to enjoy a trip through Jewish music history.
