Satell Teen Fellowship: Israel Trip 2008

Purpose

Over the last several months, Israel education and advocacy has been incorporated throughout the program. This trip has been designed to build on these experiences and enhance our American Jewish identities to include a strong affinity for Israel. Elements of the American program will be closely integrated into the trip; they will include meeting with people of influence, direct service and reflection.  The Israel program will complement our experiences of inquiry and advocacy to strengthen the Satell Teen Fellows as thoughtful, engaged American Jewish Leaders.

Goals

1. To develop a multi-faceted relationship with Israel.
2. To build a basis for Israel advocacy and issue-specific dialogue with peers in Israel and America.
3. To discover and appreciate the challenges of living in a Jewish homeland in the Middle East.
4. To establish life-long connections with Israel and with each other.
