NEXT PROFESSIONAL ASSESSMENT TOOL
The NEXT Professional Assessment Tool for Supplementary School Teachers is an opportunity for teachers to think comprehensively about how their teaching reflects current best practices in multiple dimensions. Specifically designed with Jewish supplementary school teachers in mind, it takes about 30 minutes to complete.
The PAT can be utilized in multiple ways including as a year-end teacher assessment tool. Teachers automatically receive copies of their answers and can indicate if they would like copies of their responses sent to their Education Directors.
Ready to begin your Professional Assessment? NEXT Professional Assessment Tool.
Education Directors are welcome to follow the link and peruse it themselves.
WE HAVE NOW ADDED AN ADDITIONAL HEBREW AND PRAYER ASSESSMENT TOOL. Begin the Hebrew and Prayer Professional Assessment here.
Completing the NEXT Professional Assessment Tools is valuable in its own right, but we have also designed them to connect to another layer of teacher support and professional learning.
NEXT INDIVIDUAL TEACHER OBSERVATION AND COACHING
NEXT coaches will come and meet individually with you. Even those teachers who have already been observed by their Education Director will find this to be a distinct and rewarding experience. Receiving support from someone outside the supervisory reporting line is uniquely beneficial.
Being observed and coached can be an experience in its own right, but more often we do this in conjunction with teachers completing an individual Professional Growth Plan.
Let us know you are interested in our Teacher Observation & Coaching Program. The person who comes to work with you will offer you private coaching and specific resources and strategies to support your hard work.
NEXT PROFESSIONAL GROWTH PLANS
Local Supplementary School teachers can delve deeper into their professional learning needs and desires by working with NEXT staff members to develop individual Professional Growth Plans.
Based on all available information - the Professional Assessment, the direct observation, and their conversations - the teacher and the NEXT coach will create a Professional Growth Plan for the teacher. The PGP will consist of specific, measurable learning goals and strategies that the teacher can pursue in order to address those goals. NEXT will immediately begin to provide on-going support toward the achievement of those goals.
Let us know that you are ready to develop a Professional Growth Plan.
Once teachers have developed individual Professional Growth Plans, NEXT will keep them informed of opportunities that could help them achieve their professional learning goals, including our NEXT Summer Classes.

NEXT MENTOR PROGRAM
NEXT Mentors are now available for the 2013-2014 school year!
We will assig Mentors to work with Supplementary School teachers individually over the course of 3 months to hone their teaching skills through a process of on-going support, feedback, and reflection.
The NEXT Mentors are seasoned Jewish educators with extensive backgrounds in part-time Jewish education.
Senior and novice teachers alike can powerfully benefit for our mentorships.
