$300/credit hour. All students must be degree-seeking. All students wishing to apply for federal and institutional aid must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). To make sure your Student Aid Report (SAR) is sent to Gratz College, please use our Federal School Code: 004058.

Any student in the Maalot Partnership that needs financial aid assistance can contact the Financial Aid Office by email finaid@gratz.edu. Students accepted into the program should compete the 2023-2024 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa.

To receive federal financial aid, you will need to be enrolled or accepted for enrollment in an eligible degree program and have a valid Social Security number. In addition, you must: be a U.S. CITIZEN or U.S. NATIONAL, or have a GREEN CARD ( I-551, I-151, or I-551C, also known as a green card, showing you are a U.S. permanent resident), or have an ARRIVAL-DEPARTURE RECORD (I-94), or have a T-VISA or a parent with a T-1 visa. You must not be in default on a federal student loan and do not owe a refund on a federal grant. You must also maintain satisfactory academic progress.

You may qualify for a Federal Pell Grant and/or a Federal Direct Loan. Pell Grants  usually are awarded only to undergraduate students who display exceptional financial need and have not earned a bachelor's, graduate, or professional degree. Direct Subsidized Loans and Direct Unsubsidized Loans are federal student loans offered by the U.S. Department of Education to help eligible students cover the cost of higher education. The interest rates for Undergraduate Direct Subsidized Loans and Direct Unsubsidized Loans first disbursed on or after July 1, 2023 and before July 1, 2024 is 5.50%. There is a loan fee on all Direct Subsidized Loans and Direct Unsubsidized Loans. The 1.057%  loan fee is a percentage of the loan amount and is proportionately deducted from each loan disbursement.  

Gratz College requires 27 credit hours of General Education courses.  The requirements stress breadth of knowledge and the cultivation of intellectual abilities essential for the acquisition of knowledge that will help students prepare for success in a continually changing world. The General Education requirements are detailed in the catalog. For information about fulfilling general education requirements through non-Gratz courses, please speak with your Maalot advisor.

Computer Science

Students pursuing a major in Computer Science will obtain a foundation in computer science, combined with a liberal arts education. The curriculum is designed to prepare students for positions as computer science professionals in business, industry, or government, as well as for graduate study in computer science. 

Communication Sciences and Disorders

Students pursuing a major in Communication Sciences and Disorders will obtain a foundation in speech-language pathology and audiology, combined with a liberal arts education. The curriculum is designed to prepare students for admission to graduate programs in speech-language pathology and audiology, as well as the courses required for American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) certification. The program also provides a foundation for students wishing to go into other related fields like education and healthcare.

Psychology

Students pursuing a major in Psychology will obtain a foundation in the study of psychology, combined with a liberal arts education. The curriculum is designed to ensure graduates are prepared for positions as psychology professionals in business, industry, or government, as well as for graduate study in all fields pertaining to psychology. The coursework explores the theories, concepts, and research of psychology, and how these are applied in practice.

Students should apply for graduation in the semester prior to completing their program.  Once received, applications for graduation will be reviewed by the Office of the Registrar and the academic advisor.  Students will be notified once they are cleared for graduation and informed of the next steps in the process.  Diplomas are typically mailed within 6 to 8 weeks of the date of degree conferral.
