Hebrew Language Proficiency
Students must achieve a competence level of Hebrew III by the time they complete the degree program. In order to meet this requirement, they may take Hebrew at Gratz College, transfer credits from an approved program, or place out by testing.

- Either: JST 601: New Directions in the American Jewish Community OR JST 521: American Jews: Honoring the Past, Looking to the Future
- Jewish Communal Service or Nonprofit Management Elective
- 2 Jewish Studies Electives- ( Students in the Penn-Gratz program often take JST 504 The Jewish Family: Institution in Transition as one of these)
*The version of this graduate certificate taken by students in the Penn-Gratz MSW partnership requires only three courses at Gratz College. The fourth course is transferred in from the University of Pennsylvania MSW program.
