Each year, the Gratz College Summer Institute brings together students from diverse backgrounds for an immersive learning experience.  Learners from around the country will gather on the Gratz campus outside of Philadelphia to learn from renowned instructors and one another.  Students have the option of completing courses in six days or in a hybrid model.  Doctoral residencies for the EdD and PhD programs are also part of summer institute.

Individuals interested in enrolling as a non-matriculated student for a summer institute course can register using the non-matriculated registration form


*Please be sure to note whether your class is a hybrid and the date and time your class begins and ends.  

  • Sunday 12pm-6:30pm 
    Summer Institute begins with an orientation and lunch promptly at noon.  Please arrive to check in by 11:30am. Classes will begin following the lunch.
  • Monday – Thursday 8:30am-5:30pm
    Classes begin each weekday at 8:30am.  There are morning and afternoon breaks and an hour and a half for lunch from 12:30-2:00pm.  
  • Friday 8:30am-1:00pm
    Friday class runs until 1:00pm with a morning break.

Summer Institute Fee 

Students will be charged a $75 summer institute fee.  The fee covers refreshments during the week (excluding lunch Monday-Friday).
