Gratz College acknowledges that it signed and returned to the U.S. Department of Education the Certification and Agreement for Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund-Institutional Portion under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act and assures that it intends to use the funds received as permitted under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act. Gratz College acknowledges it has received Federal Funds under HEERF; CARES; FIPSE.
Amount of Funds Received
Gratz College was awarded a total of $692,658.00 from the U.S. Department of Education under the institution's Certification and Agreement for Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund-Institutional Fund and the Fund for the Improvement of Postsecondary Education.
As a condition for receiving the funds, Gratz College was required to also enter into the Funding Certification and Agreement for Emergency Financial Grants to Students under the CARES Act.
Purpose of Fund
The purpose of the fund is to cover any costs associated with significant changes to the delivery of instruction due to the coronavirus. It may also, but it is not required, be used to provide additional emergency financial aid grants to students for expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to coronavirus.
