Alan B. Cooper graduated cum laude Georgetown University Law School, where he
also served as an Instructor before entering practice in 1983. He began representing
camps when he moved to northeastern Pennsylvania in 1986, and since 2000 has
served as General Counsel and Claims Director at AMSkier Insurance Agency, Inc.
where he has advised camps and travel programs on legal, insurance, risk aversion and
crisis management matters. He has served as an adjunct professor of American legal
systems at Northampton Community College, and as a professor of law and ethics at
Touro University, teaching in its Camping Administration Masters Degree program. He
has written numerous articles and lectured throughout the United States on issues
Just as important, he has fifteen years of experience as a camper and counselor at both
residential and day camps.
