Michael Willmann is an adjunct instructor in the Department of Nonprofit Management at Gratz College. An Emmy-winning, marketing communications veteran, Michael is the co-founder, Chairman, and CEO of WMSH Marketing Communications.
A graduate of Fordham University (BA) and the University of Pennsylvania Law School (JD), Michael is admitted to practice in both Pennsylvania and the District of Columbia, as well as before the Supreme Court of the United States.
He is a former Emmy-winning television news and public affairs producer for Group W Television, as well as an award-winning reporter for the Philadelphia Inquirer and an active freelance journalist and editorial consultant.
Michael teaches regularly at the collegiate and professional levels and is the recipient of the Camden County College 2016 Adjunct Faculty Award for Teaching Excellence.
Michael has been a member of 13 NPO boards, including the Board of the Non Profit Development Center of Southern New Jersey since its inception and he served as the NPDC as Chair from 2008 to 2014.
A graduate of Leadership New Jersey’s Class of 2001, Michael is a recipient of the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Scales of Justice Award, he has also been honored as the recipient of the New Jersey Governor’s Volunteer Award for the Arts and Leadership New Jersey’s Aletha Wright Volunteer Leadership Award for “outstanding leadership in an organization as a volunteer."
He also has been selected as a recipient of the Applause Award for Arts Advocacy by the Markeim Art Center and recognized twice for "outstanding corporate philanthropy" in the arts by the Community Foundation of New Jersey.
He has served as the Chairman of the Arts and Business Partnership of Southern New Jersey and co-chaired the annual Regional Business/Arts Summit from its inception.
He serves as a member of the Board and Executive Committee of PlanSmart New Jersey and is also an appointee to the Camden County Workforce Development Board.
