Adjunct Instructor in Education

Sarah Yoder earned degrees and certifications from Wilkes University (B.A., Mathematics, Secondary Math Certification, and B.S., Educational Strategies and Development); Alvernia University (Principal Certification); and Temple University (Ed.D., Educational Administration).  Her dissertation topic was “A Phenomenological Study of Charter School Students and Parents in One Rural School District: Why They Go, the Nature of Their Experiences, and Why Some Choose to Leave.”  She is an adjunct instructor with Gratz College and teaches School Boards and School District Governance.

In addition to her teaching at Gratz College, Sarah is currently serving as the Superintendent of Saint Clair Area School District; she previously was employed in Berks and Schuylkill County school districts as a High School Math Teacher, District Math Coach, Elementary Principal, Director of Curriculum & Instruction, and High School Principal.  Additionally, she enjoys mentoring students in the education program at Wilkes University and participating in the Schuylkill Business Education Roundtable.  Sarah enjoys the challenge of collaborating with teachers, administrators, and community members to influence, impact, and inspire diverse learners.

Sarah lives in Pottsville with her husband, Grant, and two high school aged children.
