Students will focus and clarify their dissertation topics, state their research questions, and discuss methodology, outline their research plans, and develop a comprehensive bibliography of sources. They will then share these with fellow Ph.D. students and faculty for feedback. A preliminary draft of the concept paper will be required at the conclusion of the seminar. The final version of the concept paper will be submitted by the end of Summer B session to the dissertation advisor to be graded. The three credits are for participation in the seminar and the final concept paper.
