The student in the course will learn how to navigate this complex environment with personal and professional integrity in both the public and private school setting. Particular attention will be paid to teacher liability, records maintenance, Constitutional protections for the student and teacher and new and emerging laws recently enacted including the Every Student Succeed Act (12/15/2015 reenactment of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act).
