The Hidden Maccabee Sister
with Rav Shai Cherry, the new Rabbinic leader at Congregation Adath Jeshurun

Discover this lesser known Chanukah story. Judah Maccabee may have been the leader of the brothers, but he had a sister, Judith, who took matters into her own hands! This presentation combines art, history, and Jewish text. Judith has been marginalized and misunderstood for centuries. It is time to celebrate her story alongside her brothers.

$20 by November 20; $23 starting November 21
Kosher lunch included.

He has served as a professor at Vanderbilt University, UCLA, and USD. His next book, Coherent Judaism, will be published in 2020.
