Adjunct Instructor in Jewish Education

Retired after 35 years of serving as a Director of Education in the Conservative movement, Lonna has pioneered programs in Family Education, Staff Development, Integrating Creative Expression into the School Environment, Faculty Child-care and Creating Community.  She served as a USCJ U-STEP Facilitator and as JEA Placement Advisor.  Past President of the Jewish Educators Assembly, she is currently an Etgar Teacher Educator and an Adjunct Professor at Gratz College. In addition to authoring many articles and facilitating workshops for the JEA, JESNA, CAJE and The Melton Research Center, Lonna has been recognized for her work in mentoring and training teachers and principals. She studied at Towson State University (B.A.) and JTS (M.Ed., Doctor of Pedagogy, honoris causa). Her first love is her family: her husband of 53 years, 2 daughters and their husbands and 5 incredible grandchildren.  In her leisure hours, she enjoys golf, cycling, cooking and reading.
