Michael Dickerman

Michael Dickerman received a Master of Arts in Jewish Studies degree from the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College (for which he wrote his thesis on post-Holocaust Jewish theology) and a Master of Arts in Holocaust and Genocide Studies degree from Stockton University, where for more than ten years he has been a member of the adjunct faculty in Holocaust and genocide studies. In addition to teaching comparative genocides of the twentieth century, as well as courses focused specifically on the Holocaust, he has a personal interest in the role of the churches during the Holocaust, as well as the theological implications of the Holocaust on traditional Jewish and Christian beliefs.

He is the co-editor, along with Dr. Paul R. Bartrop, of a four-volume encyclopedia, The Holocaust: An Encyclopedia and Document Collection, published by ABC-CLIO in 2017, which has received several awards as an outstanding reference source. In addition, he has presented numerous papers at various academic conferences throughout the U.S.
