Philip Moore, M.F.A.

Philip Moore is an artist, writer and educator based in Philadelphia, PA. As a teacher, he has experience teaching at the pre-school, middle school, high school, undergraduate and graduate levels. At the college level he has created and taught credit courses in a variety of formats including: 5, 6, 7, 8 and traditional 15 week semesters, online and in the classroom, hybrid, weekend seminar and even one week abroad. As an artist, he has shown work with the Jewish Arts Center in Old City, Philadelphia, PA, as part of the Philadelphia Fringe Festival (2004, 2006, 2007), and as a founding member of the intentionally low budget, collaborative arts festival COLLAGE (2009-2013). As a writer, he has been published in the Journal of the Association of Continuing Higher Education and the Gay and Lesbian Review. He has an BA in English from Syracuse University (Syracuse, NY), an MFA in interdisciplinary arts from Goddard College (Plainfield, VT) and is currently working on an EdD from Gratz College (Melrose Park, PA) where his dissertation work is focusing on the teaching identity of adjunct college teachers.
