The Weisbein auditorium has ample seating for graduates and their guests. Seating is on a first-come first-served basis. All seats in the auditorium have a good view of the event. Seats will be reserved for guests of speakers. If you or one of your guests needs a handicap accessible seat please contact the commencement coordinator, Dodi Klimoff at [email protected].
The ceremony will last about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Based on your GPA
Graduates will be seated in the front of the stage. When the time for awarding of the degrees arrives, the marshals will instruct the first row of graduates to stand and move towards the stage. The graduate goes up the steps to wait for the Dean to announce the graduate’s name. The graduate then walks across the stage, shakes hands with the President, is handed a diploma, turns to the front for a photo with the President, continues walking across the stage and goes off the stage, back to their seat, and sits down.
Ceremonial diplomas are handed out during the ceremony. Following the ceremony all students must bring a photo ID to pick-up their diploma from the Office of Student Records table in the lobby. Diplomas not picked-up will be mailed to the address we have on record.
The college does not provide a secure location to leave purses, bags, coats and is not responsible for items left unattended.
Yes, The cap, hood and gown are yours to keep.
Your tassel will start on the right side until the Dean of your College tells you to move it the left.
