Director of Strategic Partnerships and Recruitment

Position Summary:

Director of Strategic Partnerships and Recruitment role is to expand and maintain the College’s network of partners and stakeholders. The Director of Strategic Partnerships and Recruitment is responsible for initiating and developing relationships with agencies and foundations that share the College’s mission and further Gratz’s academic and community-based programs. The Director will work closely with other senior leaders at Gratz College to define and execute strategies with internal and external stakeholders to achieve likeminded outcomes.

Responsibilities:

Internal Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating recruitment strategies with the Dean and Program Directors (academic departments are tasked with handling admission inquiries and other admissions-related tasks)
  • Developing a student pipeline recruitment strategy for Gratz’s academic programs, in coordination with the Dean, Program Directors, and Director of Marketing
  • Maintaining and analyzing trends in Gratz’s recruitment/enrollment progress
  • Supporting program (e.g., degree programs and microcredentialing) innovation with the President, Dean, and Program Directors
  • Working with the President and Dean to develop strategies for formal and informal partnerships with mission-aligned agencies
  • Working with the President and Director of Institutional Advancement (and the AI team) to develop strategies for outreach to mission-aligned philanthropic and foundation partners

 External Responsibilities:

  • Representing Gratz College and its mission to its current and prospective stakeholders
  • Cultivating relationships and partnerships with agencies (e.g., school districts and Jewish nonprofits) to develop Gratz’s academic and community-based programs, in coordination with the President and Dean
  • Cultivating relationships and partnerships with the philanthropic community and foundations to develop Gratz’s academic and community-based programs, in coordination with the President and Director of Institutional Advancement

Skills:

  • Motivated self-starter
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable with public speaking, outreach on behalf of the College
  • Collaborative work with staff in small college setting
  • Familiarity with enrollment management field
  • Experience with budgeting and grant-writing (fundraising) process
