Gratz College announces the start of construction on its Bala Cynwyd campus. The construction plan designed by OZ Collaborative and to be executed by Caritas Construction consolidates properties at 327 Levering Mill Road and 382 Bala Avenue into one parcel with the creation of a two-story, 860-square foot glass atrium. 

In this role, Klein will oversee the College’s growing roster of graduate-level degree programs, expanding educational opportunities for current and future Gratz College students.

Gratz College will dedicate an Anne Frank tree on April 22, 2025 at its new headquarters in Bala Cynwyd.

In July 2025, Gratz will depart the Mandel Education Campus in Melrose Park and lease a light-filled storefront located at 315 York Road in Jenkintown.

Gratz College is pleased to announce that Brendan Goldman will serve as the inaugural holder of the Dr. Saul Philip Wachs Chair of Jewish Life and Learning.

Gratz has been selected by the Elie Wiesel Foundation for Humanity to host and curate the world’s first digital archive dedicated to the life’s work of Elie Wiesel, Nobel laureate and pivotal public figure in Holocaust education and remembrance. The archive will provide freely available, searchable access to scholars, students, humanitarians, and the public-at-large.

This ground-breaking program will help fill the vacuum of knowledge about antisemitism across Jewish, non-Jewish, and governmental organizations responsible for generating policy to combat prejudice at a time of unprecedented Jew hatred. 

The new Gratz campus will host public programming and serve as a cultural center and gathering space for Gratz’s constituents and neighbors. 

Gratz College has received a grant award of 200,000.00 euro from The Federal Republic of Germany, represented by the Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs, to launch the Gratz College - Eric Mandell Digital Music Collection, the most important pre-war German Jewish cultural archive in existence.

Dean of Gratz College Dr. Honour Moore announces that Pennsylvania Secretary of Education Dr. Khalid N. Mumin will address the Class of 2023 as the College’s commencement speaker.  The College’s 123^rd commencement will take place online on Sunday, September 10 at 6:00 p.m.

Gratz College announces the launch of the Rebecca Gratz Digital Collection, in memory of Prof. Dianne Ashton, who passed in 2022. The freely accessible Collection contains scans and searchable transcriptions of over 800 letters to and from Rebecca Gratz, the leading Jewish woman of nineteenth century American Judaism.
