Summer Institute is the on-campus intensive program for several programs at Gratz College and different schedules will pertain to different programs and courses. Please always check the schedule information at the bottom of your course listing on the "Course Offerings" page of your program. 

Intensive 6-day courses on campus 

Sunday: 12:00 noon – 6:30 pm
Summer Institute begins promptly with an orientation and lunch. Classes follow from 2:00 pm until 6:30 pm. 

Monday-Thursday:  8:30 am – 5:30 pm
Class begins each weekday at 8:30 am. There are morning and afternoon breaks, as well as an hour break for lunch from 12:30-1:30 pm. 

Friday: Class runs from 8:30 am-1:00 pm with only a morning break (no lunch).

Summer Institute professors typically assign a final paper or project due by the end of the summer B session to be emailed to the professor or posted online to Moodle.

Standard Hybrid – Begins online June 26, continues at Summer Institute Sunday, July 14 – Tuesday, July 16 OR Wednesday, July 17 - Friday, July 19 and continues online until July 31.  
Ed.D. Hybrid  - Begins online June 26, continues on campus at Summer Institute from Sunday, July 14-Tuesday, July 16 and then resumes online until August 20.
M.A.Ed. Courses for Teachers running in weeks other than July 14-19
M.A.Ed. courses for teachers will run during the summer throughout July into early August. The courses not running during the week of July 14-19 have a slightly different schedule and Summer Institute fees do not apply.  These M.A.Ed./Education courses for Teachers begin on MONDAY at 8:30 am and run Monday through Thursday until 5:30 pm. On Friday, courses run from 8:30 am until 1:00 pm. A final online session to summarize the learning experience and submit projects or papers may be scheduled.
