Special Guest Speaker for the Summer Institute Orientation - Major General John F. King
I am delighted to announce that our guest speaker to kick off the 2019 Gratz Summer Institute will be Major General John F. King, USA, Commander of Task Force 51, US Army North, Fort Sam Houston, Texas. In addition to serving in this critical position, King is also the Police Chief in Doraville, GA. This unique combination of professional positions makes him an ideal person to lead us in a conversation on the importance of leadership in troubled times in a world of information overflow. As you will see from his C.V., Major General King has a wealth of experience in service to many of the world’s most troubled “hot spots.” I know you will find his comments enlightening and inspiring. I am deliberately leaving out many of the most interesting facts of his life because those are part of his unique story and I want him to share those with you.
Following the opening talk, Major General King will be participating in the EDD 805: Special Topics Course for the rest of the day on Sunday.
