Antisemitism and the Law (U.S.) traces how courts, legislatures, and agencies have addressed antisemitism from its historical roots to today’s campus, workplace, and online controversies. Using Prof. Rob Katz’s new case law book, Antisemitism and the Law, students analyze core doctrines—free speech and association, equal protection, religious liberty, civil-rights enforcement (e.g., Title VI/VII), and hate-crime statutes—through close readings of cases, statutes, and regulatory guidance. Assignments emphasize case briefs and policy memos that translate doctrine into institution-ready strategies to prevent harm and protect civil rights.
