ASM 605/805 - SU26A2 - Messaging and Antisemitism
This course examines how messaging shapes public understanding of contemporary antisemitism and prejudice more broadly, with a particular emphasis on rigorous methods for evaluating message effectiveness. Students will engage with scholarship on persuasion, framing, narrative, identity, and prejudice reduction, while critically assessing the strengths and limitations of different communication strategies across institutional, political, media, and educational contexts. Rather than assuming that well-intentioned messages work, the course asks how we can know whether they do.
