This advanced doctoral seminar explores qualitative research methodologies applicable to the study of antisemitism. Students will critically engage with qualitative approaches including ethnography, oral history, narrative analysis, discourse analysis, and grounded theory. By examining seminal qualitative studies and contemporary scholarship on antisemitism, students will gain proficiency in qualitative methods, enabling them to design robust and nuanced antisemitism research projects. The course also emphasizes ethical considerations, challenges inherent in antisemitism research, and strategies for conducting sensitive qualitative investigations.
