This course immerses students in real-world challenges facing educators today through a dynamic, multi-week simulation. Designed to bridge theory and practice, the course presents fictionalized scenarios rooted in the authentic experiences of teachers, administrators, and higher-ed professionals. Students will step into the role of educators and school leaders, responding to pressing issues such as classroom management, curriculum adaptation, student well-being, parent engagement, higher-ed challenges, and the impact of technology in education.

In addition, students will navigate high-stakes situations, including school-related crises, conflict resolution with parents and/or students, and institutional decision-making under pressure. Through collaborative problem-solving, role-playing, and reflective analysis, students will develop critical thinking, leadership, and communication skills essential for addressing the complexities of 21st-century education.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to apply educational research to practical challenges, engage effectively with diverse stakeholders, and craft innovative, equity-driven solutions for real-world educational dilemmas. This course is ideal for aspiring and current educators, administrators, and policymakers seeking a hands-on, experiential approach to contemporary educational issues.
