This course is designed as a general overview of STEM standards, content, and pedagogies. Given the pervasive movement to adopt the Next Generation Science Standards, this course pays special attention to three dimensional instruction and incorporation of science and engineering practices within the STEM classroom. This course interrogates the implications of these shifts on education broadly and the STEM classroom specifically, and translates 21st century standards to teacher practice.
