This independent study is designed to assist a student in need of advanced coursework and to serve as the basis for course development (EDU 571 and EDU 599).
This course introduces students to the process of educational research, including an understanding of research methodology and a guided experience in locating and interpreting existing research on a specific issue. The course culminates with a research prospectus in support of the capstone project to be completed in EDU 599.
The instructor will provide a scope and sequence of the curriculum, as well as the instructional materials and description of graded assignments. Within reason, the instructor will adjust the parameters and grading of the Independent Study. Total course points will be 100
