Building on students' existing foundation in Hebrew, this course develops greater fluency in reading, writing, speaking and listening through engagement with increasingly complex texts and communicative tasks. Students will expand their command of Hebrew vocabulary, grammar and idiomatic expression while exploring topics drawn from Israeli culture, Jewish history and contemporary life. Through discussions, readings and written assignments, students will strengthen their ability to interpret authentic Hebrew materials, communicate effectively in a variety of contexts and express increasingly nuanced ideas in Hebrew. Particular emphasis is placed on the practical application of language skills, enabling students to engage more confidently with Hebrew texts, conversations and cultural discourse.
