JED 625 - Special Needs in Jewish Education
This class will explore select learning disabilities and developmental issues, how they may present in a classroom setting, and ways to respond effectively. By increasing knowledge of a variety of special needs (including ADHD, sensory issues, processing challenges, anxiety and more), students will discover how accommodating these student needs actually benefits all students in our classrooms. By examining the current state of special needs in Jewish education, students will develop a deeper understanding of how families with special needs experience the Jewish community and how educators can most effectively work with these families.
