This course instructs students in fundamental skills of graduate-level academic inquiry, writing and thinking as practiced in the field of Jewish studies. In the process, students explore major debates among scholars over the academic study of Jews and Judaism. They also survey the diverse subjects, methods and disciplines that comprise this field.
