It is more important than ever to understand how Jewish thinkers and communities have responded to cutting edge technologies, preserved older technologies, and created frameworks to consider technological development itself. This course is designed to provide an understanding of the Jewish relationship to technology as reflected in legal discourses and other Jewish texts from the Hebrew Bible to the modern era.
