Once accepted and confirmed, new students will receive a Gratz College student email address from our IT department. Checking Gratz email regularly will help you stay current with important announcements and updated information on courses, registration, and deadlines. Please use the Gratz email address exclusively for all email communication within the College.

Students can track progress through their program’s requirements and plan ahead using the degree plan provided by their academic advisor. A full list of curriculum requirements is listed under “Program Paths” on each program’s webpage, and course descriptions are available under “View Course Offerings.”

Students register for all courses using our Student Portal. In the portal you will be able to:

• Register for courses
• See your scheduled classes
• View and pay your bill
• View your final grades
• Print an unofficial transcript

Canvas is the learning management system where you take your courses. Once you have registered, it will take a day or two to be able to log into Canvas. Spending some time in the Canvas orientation will help you become familiar with the technology before courses begin. 

All Gratz courses, with the exception of language classes, are asynchronous or “on demand.” You can complete the weekly class lectures, reading assignments, and forum discussion questions at times that are convenient for you!

For some courses, reading materials will be provided by the instructor in Canvas. Other courses will have required textbooks you will be expected to purchase or borrow. Please take time to review the Required Texts before each semester and order any required books prior to the start of the term.

All enrolled students have access to the Tuttleman Library. The Library provides print materials, vast electronic databases and journals- including special collections, and interlibrary loan with other colleges. Print materials can be shipped to students across the U.S. and librarians are available during regular business hours to assist with your research.

Gratz College offers a wide variety of ways to make your educational investment more affordable including scholarships, fellowships, and Federal Financial Aid.

To be eligible for federal financial aid, graduate students must be enrolled in at least 6 credits per semester and doctoral students must take 3 credits per semester. Certificate students are not eligible for federal financial aid. Learn more about Federal Financial Aid eligibility.

To be considered for a Gratz College institutional scholarship, please fill out the FAFSA and submit the Scholarship Application Form.
